Is SpongeBob Squarepants Homosexual?

    Posted by: | Comments (1)

No, no I am not saying this. A few years back there was this speculation that SpongeBob is homosexual. All this started when a video, ‘We Are Family’ was distributed to the public, as well as, to private elementary schools nation wide.

Before we move ahead, just wanna say, that you guys can watch SpongeBob SquarePants from here.

Let’s move back to the topic.

The distribution of video was sponsored by FedEx and was broadcasted on Nickelodeon, some time back. Furthermore, Ed Vitagliano, an American Family Association researcher commented, that the venture is another way to talk about the issue of being homosexuality.

Well, rumors are a part of life but you can still watch SpongeBob SquarePants online.

Although the foundation does have a ‘tolerance pledge’ on its website, it looks like they are not really following it. The idea of the pledge is, that they will not be prejudiced against differences, mental or physical.

The funniest part is that they are asking children and adults to sign up, but how successful it will be, is something that still needs to be observed.

“While we want everyone to respect other people’s beliefs, we do not consider it appropriate for children’s television to be used in an effort to indoctrinate children to accept homosexuality,” Ed Vitagliano said.

I think it’s true! I mean, these are things that come naturally or with time, it’s not something that you can feed people’s minds!

Anyway, if you wanna catch its amazing episodes then watch SpongeBob Squarepants episodes online from here.

The objective is to get children to the foundation’s website “and there they’re given the full pitch about homosexuality,” he said.

It’s so funny! Yes, SpongeBob does hold Patrick Star’s hand and he is a true friend of Sandy, but it does not mean he is homosexual.

Apart from this there is a buzz that Reverend Donald Wildmon, has resigned as chairman from American Family Association. It’s being said that the 72 year old Reverend has resigned, because of his health problems.

Wildmon was hospitalized for a couple of months, ‘coz he was diagnosed with encephalitis and cancer in his left eye!

Hope he gets well soon!

But, you can make your assumptions. Just watch SpongeBob SquarePants from here, and enjoy the show!

When did kids television get so environmentally conscious?  I guess that is a good thing, especially if we want the next generation help out mother Earth.  For Earth Day 2010 Nickelodeon has the premiere of a new green-themed SpongeBob SquarePants.  Before that kicks off though you can watch new episodes of Earth Day programming on April 22nd with  new episodes of preschool seriesTeam Umizoomi, The Fresh Beat Band, Go, Diego, Go!, Ni Hao Kai-lan and The Backyardigans.  There will also be encores of iCarly and True Jackson, VP for you to watch as well.

I already have the DVR set for the new episode of SpongeBob and our boys are super excited to watch it.  Do you think that SpongeBob can get his message across to the children while at the same time being so funny?  Check out a promo photo of the episode, “SpongeBob’s Last Stand,” below as well.  I love the fact that they will be giving a nod to some protest songs from the 1960s, just another way that you can grab and entertain the parents that are watching with their children.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Truth or Square

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on SpongeBob SquarePants: Truth or Square

SpongeBob has another DVD out. Hurray…not. Let me make this abundantly clear up front: I hate SpongeBob. I know, travesty, you say. But it’s true. Not only do I hate SpongeBob, I would go as far as to say I wish I could use his face to wash out the inside of the litter box my two cats use, or something else equally disgusting. Or perhaps I would give him to a hermit crab to use as a water fountain. Either way, he would not be in my living room, on my television, for my viewing displeasure.

That said, the episodes on SpongeBob SquarePants : Truth or Square are actually not that bad. There were five episodes on the disc. “Truth or Square” (the extended director’s cut) is the main episode on the disc and focuses on the Krusty Krab’s Eleventy Seventh anniversary. When SpongeBob and all of his buddies try to get an ice sculpture of a giant Krabby Patty out of the freezer, they all get locked in and they reminisce about becoming friends and the opening of the Krusty Krab. “Porous Pockets,” the next installation on the DVD, is not as entertaining but will still bring in some laughs as SpongeBob sells his so-called giant pearl. Other shenanigans on the disc include “Choir Boys” in which SpongeBob faces off against Squidward in the Men’s Choir competition, “Krusty Krushers” during which Patrick and SpongeBob take up tag team wrestling and “The Card” where SpongeBob is searching for a certain rare trading card that Patrick happens to have.

While I didn’t really mind these episodes, it occurred to me that the first few seasons of the show were indefinitely better. Those episodes were not only wittier and better written, but they also had much more creative storylines. I’m not sure if the writers would have made it this far if they knew that an entire episode was going to be devoted to the Bikini Bottom Men’s Choir. My guess is that they would have quit before they started.

There are a bunch of great celebrity guest stars on this disc. Will Ferrell, Pink and Tina Fey all take part in the Krusty Krab festivities. LeBron James and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog also get in on the action. And of course you can’t leave out Robin Williams, Rosario Dawson or Ricky Gervais, who also appear in cameo roles. Also, there are quite a few laughs, especially when Mr. Krabs tells Patrick there is only one way out and Patrick infers higher education is the key. The animation is done pretty well, and the sound quality is great. Overall, I’m not a huge fan of SpongeBob SquarePants : Truth or Square, but it is just the sort of thing children and their families will enjoy, especially if they are already fans of the little guy. It’s recommended for anyone who is a fan of the show.
